Article on unemployment in Spain
In our country, unemployment is one of the most important problems, specially youth unemployment. But how does it affect our society?
First of all, Spain is one of the countries with the highest rate of unemployment in Europe and of course, that is an enourmous problem. If people cannot work, they can not get a suitable level of life.Youth people is one of the most affected sector of population because most of them don´t want to study and if they do not study they cannot have a good job and cannot get their own independence from parents. So, crisis is the guilty of the present situation specially in Spain, where our politicians are not able to find the solution to this problem. If companies increase production and consumers increase their purchases, the demand for workers will increase again and unemployment will decrease.
In Spain, we have a lot of problems and unemployment and our politicians have to work to solve them as soon as possible.

The original company bearing the corporate name was founded in 1919 by Isaac Carasso in Barcelona as a small factory producing yoghurt. The factory was named Danone, a Catalan diminutive of the name of his first son, Daniel Carasso.
Ten years later, the company moved from Spain to neighboring France.

job article
A job I wouldn’t like to do
The job I wouldn’t like to do is farmer. Farmers have to cultivate land to grow cereals fruits and vegetables.
Farmers also breed cattle like cows horses and sheep.
They produce milk and make cheese or yoghurt. They work a lot; they start early in the morning and finish late in the evening.
I don’t want to do this job because I don’t like being outside. Furthermore, I dislike animals (I think horses are too big and they scare me)
This job is really tiring. The summer is harvest time so farmers don’t get any summer holidays. They are always busy because they have to take care of the cattle.
I agree that this job is very helpful and necessary. But I believe, it is too hard for me. I would prefer to do a job which has more free time to spend with your family.

French pupils' articles about jobs
I chose a holiday job which is coordinator in a summer camp
This job consists in taking care of children during the summer holidays, or organizing different activities like games, sports or painting. The coordinator not only organizes games for the children but takes care of them, too, so he or she needs to be self-confident. To do this job you have to know how to manage children and to be patient, clear and firm you have to be able to take initiatives in order to amuse the children. The coordinator could have to work with all ages of children from 5 to 18 that’s why you need the BAFA diploma and you have to be over eighteen to work.
I chose this job because I love children and I think it is an experience worth having especially learning to live in a community.

Viluste was visited by a fashion designer
During the two-year period of Comenius project, we have invited the parents of our pupils and our former students to come to our school in order to introduce the requirements and everyday life of their professions. We have had lots of interesting people visiting us, such as police officers, municipality staff, local farmers etc visiting us, but the most interesting experience was when we had a fashion designer, Ragne Kikas, based in Hamburg, Germany coming to our school and speaking about her career choices. Ragne is a young Estonian knitwear designer, awarded with several prizes abroad. She was born in Estonia, went to Viluste Basic School , but then decided to live and work in Germany. She has graduated from Hamburg University of Applied Sciences.
When visiting our school, she pointed out to our students that something very traditional to us as having handicraft lessons regularly is not that natural in other countries. She herself learned how to knit at the age of five. So far, she has created five collection. In her last collection, she was inspired by the 15th and 16th century armour, whose inflexible and angular shapes she adores and translates into intriguing knitted fabrics. However, she also said that inspiration is only a starting point, more important for her is the choice of techniques. Her biggest achievement so far was the nomination for Festival Hyeres 2012 where she was among the ten finalists and won two awards – the Premiere Vision and the festival' s public prizes. Ragne is invited to New York and Paris to present her work to the press and the fashion professionals.
Our students and teachers were really amazed by the fact that it is possible to go and conquer the world despite of the fact that you originally come from a tiny village situated in a small country.

A Spanish enterprise: La Fageda (presented by our students in their visit to Lycée Jean Monnet)
La Fageda is a manufacturer of high-quality, naturally-made yogurts in northern Catalonia, Spain. La Fageda is substantially different from its main competitors such as multinational Danone in that it is a 270-person workers' cooperative with 60 percent of its membership made up of mentally disabled individuals. Since its establishment in 1982, the organization has aimed to integrate the mentally disabled by providing meaningful jobs and dignified salaries.
