Why do we have to study?

In the beginning I would like to describe our educational system in Poland. So let’s start. When You are four years old, you often go to the kindergarten. I said often because it’s not necessary. What is necessary before starting a journey with primary school, is last year of kindergarten called ,, zerówka” which prepares children for studying in primary school.
When you are seven years old, your adventure with primary school begins. Primary school has got six classes. After 3 years of primary school, new subjects are added like a Natural History(geography, physics and chemistry together), History and higher level of Maths, Polish and English. When you pass the last class, you need to write a final exam. After all, you get a certificate of graduation and you’re free…
…Until September comes.
After primary school, middle school comes. It’s similar to primary school: you need to pass only or even three classes. During those years, you repeat all the stuff from primary school, learn new material, and perpetuate it all in memory. After three years you have to take part in final exam. You don’t need to write anything, you just have to participate in it. Most people think that this exam is very important part of their future. You next school’s choice depends on this exam’s result.
After you finish the middle school, you have to pick one of three types of high school: comprehensive secondary school, technical secondary school or vocational school.
Comprehensive secondary school lasts often three years if you don’t screw up anything. It’s job is to repeat, and memorize whole material and prepare you to secondary school’s final exam as well as they can. After you pass it, you can join any college.
Technical secondary school lasts four years, During these years you need to learn and specialize in certain way.
The knowledge you’ll get is targeted for a certain profession. After technical secondary school people often pick the technical university.
Vocational school is similar to technical secondary school but lasts only two years. After it you don’t need to go to college because you got professional degree already. You can start your own business. If you have money to do it.
My dream in childhood was to be a surgeon or other kind of doctor. I wanted to save people’s lives. Then I realized that most people for studying medicine have doctors in their families so it’s easier for them. Now I want to be a building engineer, I want to make construction projects and I want to earn a lot of cash.
I think education in Poland is very good. Most schools and universities are on high lever. I think that getting a good university degree will help me to find a better job because employers in Poland often look at education degree and what school you have finished before they will employ somebody. I think that better option is to go abroad because you won’t earn much in Poland, except you’re a politician
